The Story

In 2020, Stephen Albright underwent brain surgery and woke up with aphasia — unable to speak, read, or write. The recovery tools available were outdated, inaccessible, and built without the people who needed them most.

Now a Duke MBA graduating May 2026, Stephen built AphasiaGPT — the first AI speech therapy platform designed for people with aphasia. What started as a personal mission is becoming something bigger. Disability Driven is expanding that vision to every disability.
